Eyelash extensions are used to enhance the length, fullness, and thickness of natural eyelashes. The extensions may be made from several materials including silk and mink, synthetic or human hair.
Semi-permanent lashes, also known as individual eyelash extensions, are eyelashes applied to naturally existing lashes with an adhesive.
Eyelash extensions are waterproof and give the appearance of having mascara on without the hassle of messy clumps and smudging of makeup. Generally, a single lash is applied to each natural lash. When applied properly, neither the extension lash nor the glue should touch the eyelid. The bond is designed to last until the lashes naturally fall out.
Eyelash extensions come in many types, lengths, colors, curves and thicknesses, from natural-looking, to glamorous, as well as dramatic.
1) What sets My Beauty Escape lash extensions apart from other salons?
We take time to do a full in-depth consultation to ensure that the stylist understands the client’s wants/needs and then also explains what we can and can’t meet due to the client’s natural lashes. We take our time and we do not rush to ensure proper isolation (lash extension are not glued to multiple natural lashes, causing damaged to natural lashes), that the extension lay properly and have a secure bond. We also remove all grown out lash extensions each fill so that you don’t have upside down crazy lashes and we lash every single healthy lash, that is why our sets look so full compared to many other places.
2) What brand of lashes and glue do we use?
We use about 98% Bellalash products because they are high quality and made in the US. In some of the colored specialty lashes, we use other brands like Sugar Lash Pro and Lash Stuff.
3) What happens if I have less than the required amount of lashes I’m supposed to have at my fill?
This depends on how much less you have, for instance if you come in for a two week fill and you only have about 40% of your lash extensions left, we will have to bump you to a 3 week fill. if you’re missing a lot you will want to give us a heads up 24hrs prior to your appointment so we can identify if we need to upgraded you to the next fill or start with a new set. If you are upgraded up to the next fill or full set, you will be required to pay for the service you were upgraded to.
4) What if I start with a flirt set but after wearing them for a while I want the more dramatic classic set?
When you book your appointment, select whatever week classic fill instead of flirt fill. Then also book the upgrade right after your fill time, because we will need to add on whatever lashes you lost to get back up to the flirt set, and then add on even more to get you to 100% of healthy lashes. IE If you are booking a 2 week flirt fill but want to upgrade, you will select 2 week classic fill let’s say 2pm-3pm. Then you would book upgrade from 3pm-3:30pm.
5) Why can’t I drink caffeine at least 2hrs prior to any lash appointment?
Caffeine affects everyone differently, but often times it makes the client restless and it’s hard for them to relax for the entire appointment time. It can also make your eye lids flutter which makes the lashing process very difficult and may cause you to get glue fumes in your eyes because your eyes are fluttering open and the glue is attracted to moisture.
